The Mis-Education of The Negro written by Carter G. Woodson in the early 1900’s was inspired by Carter G. Woodson’s belief that African Americans of his era and the generations before his were being culturally indoctrinated instead of being taught in American Schools, hence the title, The Mis-Education of The Negro.
